John the Baptist speaking of Jesus said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29
Jesus said, “I have come to seek and to save that which was lost” Luke 19:10
Jesus also said, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim freedom to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:18-19
"This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." 1 Timothy 1:15
Kathy and I can both testify that the above verses are absolutely true! Jesus has literally set us free! The reason we serve Him is because of all that He has done for us. We know and have experienced the darkness that comes with the power of sin. And also know and have experienced the power of His amazing grace and mercies! How does one begin to follow The Lord? What's a man or women to do when they get sick and tired of being sick and tired? Many will run to religion, many will run to a state counselor or college graduate with a fancy masters degree in psychology, many will run to an AA meeting or some kind of recovery program. I have seen people stop the use of drugs or alcohol using these programs, but they are still in their bondage of depression and still separated from Jesus and His amazing love. So we say, RUN TO JESUS! HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE! JOHN 14:6
The bible says that "Your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you." Isaiah 59:2
The verse in the header of this page says, "whomever is "IN" Christ" is a new creation. If we want to be a new creation, we must be "in" Christ. That is why Jesus came! To reconcile us back to God.
We must first recognize we are a sinner separated from God and that God hates sin! The bible says that the wrath of God abides on those whom do not believe. The bible says that satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they can not see the Light of the gospel! see 2 Corinthians 4:4
This is why Jesus said, "Do not marvel that I say to you, You must be born again" John 3:7 Just as the Apostle Paul, and anyone whom has been born again, so you also, must be born again! Being born again is a spiritual new birth that happens to the sinner when they make a heart felt decision to obey Jesus' words when He said, "Repent, and believe the good news" Mark 1:15 Jesus has the sin problem taken care of at the bloody cross He endured for you! For it is written, "Greater love has no one than this than to lay down one's life for his friends" John 15:13
That is the price that Jesus paid that you could be saved from the fires of hell, and even the powers of darkness, depression and addictions here in this life! Jesus Christ can set you free! But make no mistake about it, "you must repent, or you will certainly perish! Luke 13:3
So, why don't you go ahead and make the best decision you can possibly make in your entire life! The freedom Jesus brings is worth more than all the worlds rich's multiplied by 100 million, Jesus is worth more than anything!
If you are ready to be set free from the powers of darkness, and brought into His wonderful light, than go ahead and trust Jesus! Because that is exactly what Jesus came to do! And God is not a man that He can lie! See Numbers 23:19
He did it for me, and millions others, He will certainly do it for you! The bible says that, "the very angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner (you) repents!" Luke 15:10
So if your ready to turn from your sin, and make a heart commitment to Jesus, and place your trust in Him, say a prayer similar to the one below from your heart, get you a bible and commit to daily prayer and reading time as you grow in your walk with The Lord. And you can rest assure that He will provide you with the needed grace to follow Him.
Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus, I come as a sinner seeking forgiveness, please forgive my sin as I make a willing decision to believe in the completed work of the cross that Jesus died for me that I can be saved and born again. I commit to following You Jesus, wholeheartedly and to walk in obedience to You and trusting that You will provide the power needed for me to overcome and to turn from my sin. Lord, thank You for the cross and for your love! In Jesus Name, Amen!
